Polite Reminder

Cookies

The short version: one cookie keeps you signed in, and nothing else is set unless you say so.

Always set

pr_session — set when you sign in, and used to keep you signed in. Deleting it signs you out and does nothing else. It is only set once you have signed in: if you never do, this site sets no cookies at all.

pr_consent — remembers your answer to the question below, so you are not asked on every page. Set only once you have answered.

Neither needs your permission: one is what signing in is, and the other exists to honour what you chose. Nothing on these pages is loaded from another company — no third-party fonts, scripts or embeds.

Only if you agree

Microsoft Clarity shows us how the site is used — which pages people read, and where they get stuck. It sets its own cookies.

So that it is not buried: Clarity works by recording what you do on the page — your clicks, your scrolling and your mouse movement — and replaying it back to us as a picture of the screen you saw. Microsoft processes that recording on our behalf. It is the honest description of what you are agreeing to, and it is the reason the exclusions below exist.

It is never loaded on your account pages or at checkout, whatever you answer here. A recording of those screens would capture your licence key and your email address, and no agreement makes that a sensible thing for us to hold.

If you decline, the script is never sent to your browser at all. There is nothing to block and nothing to trust.
